Registrations now open for the 49th annual New Zealand Society for Parasitology Conference and Parasite Advisory Day

This year we’re meeting from Tuesday 26 – Thursday 28 October in Wellington – our compact, creative capital.  Why not make a holiday of it, and spend Labour Weekend exploring the many eateries, breweries, museums and galleries, walking and MTB tracks, shops, and events the capital city has on offer? The registration form is here, and we’d love to see you there.

We’re also now inviting abstract submissions for the conference – so if you’ve got an interesting case study, an exciting new finding, or a unique perspective to share, please complete the forms here to let us know about it. Please note the registration and abstract submission is 27th September 2021.

What is PAD?

Parasite advisory day (PAD) is a one-day interactive session that will allow you to develop your base line knowledge of parasites. Completing the PAD we hope that you will be better equipped to have conversations with farmers surrounding parasite and anthelmintic management. PAD is open to all industry professionals ranging from vets to sales representatives, technicians and farmers that have an interest or need for parasite knowledge.

The focus of this year’s advisory day is cattle parasites and their associated management principles which will be particularly applicable to people involved in both the dairy and beef sectors. PAD is Tuesday 26th October 2021.
